Recycling process at The Junk Bros

At The Junk Bros, we're committed to keeping as much material out of landfills as possible. When we haul away your unwanted items, they begin a journey that gives them new life through recycling or donation.

Our 3-Step Eco-Friendly Process

1. On-Site Sorting

Our trained crews immediately separate items into three categories:

  • Recyclables: Metal, electronics, cardboard, and other materials
  • Donatables: Gently used furniture, appliances, and household goods
  • Landfill: Only truly non-recyclable items (less than 40% of what we collect)

Did You Know?

Americans generate nearly 300 million tons of waste annually. We're proud to help reduce this number through responsible disposal.

2. Partnership Network

We've established relationships with local organizations to ensure your items do the most good:

Where Items Go:

  • Habitat for Humanity (furniture, appliances)
  • Goodwill (clothing, household items)
  • Local shelters (bedding, kitchenware)

What Gets Recycled:

  • Metals to local scrap facilities
  • E-waste to certified recyclers
  • Mattresses through specialized programs

3. Responsible Disposal

For items that can't be repurposed, we use certified disposal facilities that meet environmental standards. We never dump illegally or in unauthorized locations.

What Items Can Be Donated?

Here are some of the most common items we're able to give second lives:

Furniture

Couches, tables, dressers in good condition

Appliances

Working refrigerators, stoves, washers

Electronics

Computers, TVs, printers (recycled if not working)
